Power Platform Automation Engineer (Power Automate & SharePoint)
Mission
Own and evolve our existing Power Automate and SharePoint-based automations for sales operations. Focus on reliable ingestion from Exchange shared mailboxes, structured storage in SharePoint Lists/Libraries, Excel Office Scripts processing, and downstream notifications.
Scope of ownership (functional areas)
TODO: replace with the high level features.
Key responsibilities
1. Maintenance & reliability
- Keep all cloud flows healthy end-to-end with robust retries, timeouts, and error routing.
- Maintain Exchange shared mailbox integrations (triggers, send-as, categorisation, move/copy).
- Own connection references, service accounts, permissions
- Implement monitoring/alerting and maintain run-books for recovery.
2. Adaptation to vendor changes
- Track upstream changes (mail formats, vendor workbook schemas, SharePoint/Graph/connector behaviour) and update flows/scripts accordingly.
- Evolve data models and mappings without breaking existing consumers; deliver backward-compatible migrations.
- Keep governance artifacts current (DLP, solution packages, documentation).
3. Enhancements (if required)
4. Transition from the existing solution to the core IT integration
- Provide clear contracts (file/list schemas, mailbox conventions, API/Graph touchpoints) so the automations can be re-platformed or integrated into core systems (e.g., Automation Anywhere/AI/NAV/CRM) without functional drift.
- Prepare deprecation/hand-over plans, including test cases and cutover checklists.
Tech stack (must have)
-
Power Automate (cloud flows): Outlook (Office 365), SharePoint Online, Excel Online (Business), Office Scripts, SQL; recurrence triggers, parallelism.
-
SharePoint Online: Lists/Libraries, item create/update, permissions, change triggers.
-
Exchange Online (shared mailboxes): Triggers and send-as patterns.
-
Office Scripts integrated via Excel Online.
-
Basic SQL for validation/enrichment.
Nice to have
-
Power BI report building and data modelling from SharePoint/SQL.
- Experience with Graph/SharePoint REST for advanced scenarios and HTML mail templating.
