Data Engineer is required by a global company to join its Data Engineering team, helping to build a new modern lake architecture data platform for the organisation.

You will be responsible for:

• Designing and building data pipelines to load and transform data into the company's central data lake
• Taking ownership of data quality and resolving existing data quality issues
• Setting up a data governance framework and defining the data catalogue
• Leading and coaching an existing team of Data and BI Developers
• Building automated deployment pipelines

Required Experience

• Proven senior-level experience as a Data Engineer, ideally working with lake or lakehouse architectures
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Working knowledge of data governance and DLP tooling, ideally including Microsoft Purview
• Solid SQL and data pipeline/ETL development skills
• Experience with data quality remediation in complex, multi-source environments
• Ability to collaborate across data analytics, engineering and architecture functions within an organisation
• Any SAP experience would be beneficial
• Professional proficiency in both German and English
