Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Maturity & Adoption Lead to build sustainable enterprise data capabilities by assessing current organisational maturity, defining improvement roadmaps and driving the adoption of new data capabilities across the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with business and Data stakeholders to identify capability gaps, establish maturity targets and ensure that new processes, technologies and ways of working become embedded into business-as-usual operations.

This role requires a combination of data strategy, organisational transformation, change management and business adoption experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an enterprise-wide view of data maturity across relevant capabilities and business areas.
• Assess existing data management capabilities and identify areas for improvement.
• Define maturity targets, improvement priorities and practical capability roadmaps.
• Develop and lead adoption strategies for new Enterprise Data capabilities, processes and ways of working.
• Work with business and Data stakeholders to identify adoption barriers and implement targeted interventions.
• Define meaningful measures of data maturity, adoption and behavioural change.
• Connect maturity assessments and improvement initiatives to Enterprise Data strategy and investment priorities.
• Drive sustainable improvements in data capabilities and organisational behaviours.
• Ensure improvements are embedded into business-as-usual operations rather than remaining dependent on transformation programmes.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in Data Maturity, Data Management or Data Transformation initiatives.
• Experience conducting enterprise data maturity assessments.
• Strong understanding of data management frameworks, capabilities and operating models.
• Experience developing data maturity improvement roadmaps.
• Demonstrable experience driving organisational adoption and business change.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into practical improvement initiatives.
• Experience defining and tracking maturity and adoption KPIs.

Desired Background

Experience with recognised data management and maturity frameworks, Data Governance, Data Strategy or enterprise-wide transformation initiatives would be advantageous.

Experience in Financial Services or Insurance would be beneficial.
