Pharmaceutical Data Ontology & Taxonomy Consultant is required to join a data team working on a large scale data programme, and to lead ontology and taxonomy of pharmaceutical data across the programme.
You will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining ontologies and taxonomies that will support data integration and organise scientific and operational data.
- Turning scientific and technical information into structured formats that support analytics and decision-making.
- Applying industry standards to improve data interoperability and to align internal data with external standards.

Supporting the development of knowledge graphs that show relationships between different types of data.
- Providing training and promoting the use of semantic tools across the organisation.
- Collaborating with teams across the business to gather needs and ensure ontology solutions support scientific work and business goals.
- Promoting the use of ontologies to enable AI-driven drug development.
Required and experience and skills:
- Experience in designing and managing ontologies and taxonomies for pharmaceutical data.
- Broad experience with various tools for example Protégé, Neo4j, Semaphore or similar.
- Semantic standards: RDF, OWL, SKOS, SHACL.
- Knowledge graphs and graph databases experience.
- Experience in managing metadata, vocabularies, and data quality.
- Data Governance tools like Collibra or IDERA or similar.

Good knowledge of latest trends in AI, large language models (LLMs), and automation.
