This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced Construction Director to take full ownership of a national portfolio and play a pivotal role in delivering large-scale residential developments across the UK. Joining a leading residential developer, the Construction Director will oversee high-profile build-to-rent, co-living and purpose-built student accommodation schemes, driving performance, quality and operational excellence at scale.

Responsibilities

As Construction Director, you will:

• Lead construction delivery across multiple sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Provide clear and accurate reporting on programme, cost control and risk management.
• Take ownership of budgets and timelines, driving performance and accountability across your portfolio.
• Mentor and develop Construction Managers and Project Managers, strengthening leadership capability within the team.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants and subcontractors to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives across the construction function.

This Construction Director position requires national travel and flexibility to work away from home when required, with expenses covered in line with company policy.
