About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced sustainability, energy efficiency, or distributed energy professional seeking your next opportunity in the utilities sector?

Innovation Consulting LLC is building a statewide network of qualified Sustainability, Energy Efficiency, and Distributed Energy professionals for upcoming projects with our utility, energy, and public infrastructure clients. By joining our Sustainability, Energy Efficiency & Distributed Energy Talent Pool, you’ll be considered for future assignments that align with your technical expertise, program experience, and professional interests.

This is not an active job opening. This posting allows you to pre-register with our recruiting team so we can connect with you when new client initiatives become available. Our clients rely on us to provide professionals who support clean energy programs, infrastructure modernization, emissions reduction, and long-term sustainability planning on a project or contract basis.

Key Responsibilities (Typical Assignments May Include)

Responsibilities will vary based on client needs and assignment scope, and may include:

• Supporting sustainability, energy efficiency, and clean energy programs
• Supporting planning, implementation, and evaluation of renewable energy and distributed energy resource initiatives
• Supporting EV infrastructure planning, deployment, and program administration
• Supporting carbon reduction, emissions tracking, and climate action initiatives
• Assisting with sustainability planning, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
• Coordinating with engineering, operations, regulatory, and customer-facing teams
• Supporting program performance tracking, data analysis, and reporting
• Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, incentives, and program requirements

Qualifications

Qualifications will vary by assignment. Typical requirements may include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, Public Policy, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience supporting sustainability, energy efficiency, renewable energy, or distributed energy programs
• Familiarity with utility energy programs, incentives, and regulatory frameworks
• Experience with program administration, data analysis, or technical evaluation preferred
• Relevant certifications or training preferred and may be required depending on assignment
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
• Ability to work in evolving, multidisciplinary program environments

Compensation & Benefits (for Future Assignments)

When assigned to a client project through Innovation Consulting LLC, you’ll be a W-2 employee with full access to our comprehensive benefits package:

• Health Reimbursement Account (HRA): Helps cover premiums and out-of-pocket costs. 2025 HRA amounts – $6,600 Employee Only, $10,320 Employee + One, $14,040 Family. Up to $5,000 may carry over to the next year.
• 401(k) Program: Dollar-for-dollar safe-harbor company match up to 6% of employee contributions, discretionary supplemental match, and 100% immediate vesting.
• Paid Time Off: ~11 holidays, 40 hours of sick time, and vacation accrued bi-weekly (2 weeks for 0–2 years, 3 weeks for 3–4 years, 4 weeks for 5+ years).
• No waiting period: Benefits eligibility and accruals begin immediately.
