About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced program or project management professional seeking your next opportunity in the utilities sector?


Innovation Consulting LLC is building a statewide network of qualified Utilities Program and Project Management professionals for upcoming projects with our utility, energy, and public infrastructure clients. By joining our Utilities Program / Project Management Talent Pool, you’ll be considered for future assignments that align with your program delivery experience, leadership capabilities, and professional interests.


This is not an active job opening. This posting allows you to pre-register with our recruiting team so we can connect with you when new client programs or projects become available. Our clients rely on us to provide experienced program and project managers who support capital delivery, organizational change, and operational improvement initiatives on a project or contract basis.


Key Responsibilities (Typical Assignments May Include)

Responsibilities will vary based on client needs and assignment scope, and may include:

  • Managing or supporting utility capital programs, portfolios, or individual projects
  • Leading project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and reporting activities
  • Supporting PMO development, governance, and performance management
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Supporting change management, process improvement, and organizational transformation initiatives
  • Monitoring project performance and supporting issue resolution
  • Preparing status reports, dashboards, and executive communications
  • Ensuring compliance with project management standards, contractual requirements, and regulatory obligations


Qualifications

Qualifications will vary by assignment. Typical requirements may include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience managing or supporting programs or projects within utilities or infrastructure environments
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
  • Experience supporting capital delivery, PMO, or change management initiatives
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP) preferred and may be required depending on assignment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Compensation & Benefits (for Future Assignments)

When assigned to a client project through Innovation Consulting LLC, you’ll be a W-2 employee with full access to our comprehensive benefits package:

  • Health Reimbursement Account (HRA): Helps cover premiums and out-of-pocket costs. 2025 HRA amounts – $6,600 Employee Only, $10,320 Employee + One, $14,040 Family. Up to $5,000 may carry over to the next year.
  • 401(k) Program: Dollar-for-dollar safe-harbor company match up to 6% of employee contributions, discretionary supplemental match, and 100% immediate vesting.
  • Paid Time Off: ~11 holidays, 40 hours of sick time, and vacation accrued bi-weekly (2 weeks for 0–2 years, 3 weeks for 3–4 years, 4 weeks for 5+ years).
  • No waiting period: Benefits eligibility and accruals begin immediately.
