About the Opportunity

Innovation Consulting LLC is building a statewide network of qualified Utilities Specialists to support upcoming projects with our utility, energy, and public infrastructure clients. By joining our Other Utilities Specialist Talent Pool, you’ll be considered for future assignments that align with your unique skill set, technical background, and professional experience.

This is not an active job opening. This posting allows you to pre-register with our recruiting team so we can connect with you when specialized or emerging client needs arise. Our clients rely on us to provide adaptable professionals with niche expertise to support evolving utility programs, pilot initiatives, regulatory changes, system modernization efforts, and unique operational challenges on a project or contract basis.

Key Responsibilities (Typical Assignments May Include)

Responsibilities will vary widely based on client needs and assignment scope, and may include:

• Supporting specialized utility programs, initiatives, or technical functions not covered by standard role categories
• Providing subject matter expertise in niche or emerging areas of utility operations, technology, policy, or infrastructure
• Supporting pilot programs, innovation initiatives, or transformation efforts
• Assisting with analysis, documentation, implementation, or operational support activities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, regulatory, IT, or customer-facing groups
• Supporting compliance, reporting, planning, or stakeholder coordination efforts
• Adapting to unique project requirements and evolving client needs
• Providing technical, analytical, or advisory support as required by assignment

Qualifications

Qualifications will vary by assignment. Typical requirements may include:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical training in a utilities-related, engineering, business, or specialized discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience working within utilities, energy, public infrastructure, or regulated environments
• Demonstrated expertise in a specialized, niche, or emerging area relevant to utility operations or programs
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, processes, or regulatory environments
• Relevant licenses, certifications, or specialized training preferred and may be required depending on assignment
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Flexibility to support diverse assignments with varying scopes and durations

Compensation & Benefits (for Future Assignments)

When assigned to a client project through Innovation Consulting LLC, you’ll be a W-2 employee with full access to our comprehensive benefits package:

• Health Reimbursement Account (HRA): Helps cover premiums and out-of-pocket costs. 2025 HRA amounts – $6,600 Employee Only, $10,320 Employee + One, $14,040 Family. Up to $5,000 may carry over to the next year.
• 401(k) Program: Dollar-for-dollar safe-harbor company match up to 6% of employee contributions, discretionary supplemental match, and 100% immediate vesting.
• Paid Time Off: ~11 holidays, 40 hours of sick time, and vacation accrued bi-weekly (2 weeks for 0–2 years, 3 weeks for 3–4 years, 4 weeks for 5+ years).
• No waiting period: Benefits eligibility and accruals begin immediately.
