About the Opportunity

We partner with electric, gas, and water utilities, EPC firms, and environmental consultancies to deliver skilled, field-ready environmental support on a contract or project basis.


Key Responsibilities (Typical Assignments May Include)

  • Conducting field and construction environmental inspections to ensure compliance with permits, plans, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitoring activities for adherence to SWPPP, NPDES, CEQA/NEPA, and federal/state/local environmental requirements.
  • Supporting biological monitoring, habitat assessments, and restoration/mitigation activities.
  • Preparing inspection reports, field logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinating with contractors, environmental specialists, and project managers to resolve compliance issues.
  • Assisting in environmental permitting, mitigation planning, and training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, or related discipline, or equivalent field experience.
  • Experience with environmental compliance, permitting, or inspection for construction or utility projects.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state environmental laws and regulations (e.g., CEQA, NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act).
  • Field experience conducting inspections, surveys, or monitoring preferred.
  • Strong documentation, observation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to pass background screening and compliance verifications (as applicable).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., QSP/QSD, SWPPP, OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, or CPR/First Aid) preferred.

Compensation & Benefits (for Future Assignments)

When assigned to a client project through Innovation Consulting LLC, you’ll be a W-2 employee with full access to our comprehensive benefits package:

Health Reimbursement Account (HRA): Helps cover premiums and out-of-pocket costs. 2025 HRA amounts – $6,600 Employee Only, $10,320 Employee + One, $14,040 Family. Up to $5,000 may carry over to the next year.

401(k) Program: Dollar-for-dollar safe-harbor company match up to 6% of employee contributions, discretionary supplemental match, and 100% immediate vesting.

Paid Time Off: ~11 holidays, 40 hours of sick time, and vacation accrued bi-weekly (2 weeks for 0–2 years, 3 weeks for 3–4 years, 4 weeks for 5+ years).

No waiting period: Benefits eligibility and accruals begin immediately.
