About the Role

Our client is seeking an SAP Technical Manager to lead development, integration, and support across a large-scale SAP environment, including SAP S/4 HANA, C4C, IS-U, CRM, and BW/4HANA.

This role combines hands-on SAP technical expertise with leadership of a development team (up to 7 direct reports). You’ll drive SAP system integration, oversee custom development, and ensure performance, security, and scalability in a mission-critical utilities environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of SAP developers and technical specialists
• Lead SAP projects across S/4 HANA, IS-U, CRM, and C4C from requirements to deployment
• Oversee WRICEF development, workflow automation, and system enhancements
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable SAP solutions
• Ensure compliance with SOX, GRC, and security best practices
• Support and troubleshoot large, complex SAP production environments
• Drive process improvements and optimize SAP system performance

Must-Haves

• 6+ years SAP Functional or ABAP experience (S/4 HANA, IS-U, CRM, or C4C)
• Strong technical expertise in ABAP, OO-ABAP, Reporting, BAPI, IDOC, ALE, Enhancements, SAP Script, SmartForms
• Utilities industry background (IS-U, Meter-to-Cash, FICA)
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• SAP Certification
• Hands-on experience with UI5, Fiori, ABAP CDS, Idoc, BOPF, Adobe Forms
• Project management background
