Automotive Service Manager

High-Volume Automotive Repair Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000 base salary (DOE)

Who We’re Looking For

We need a true shop-floor general who still knows how to turn a wrench and close a ticket. This is a hands-on, customer-facing Service Manager role for someone who lives for fast cycle times and fat repair orders. You’re the one customers trust when their check engine light is on, and you’re the one who makes sure no bay sits empty.

Key Requirements

• Master Technician or A-level Technician background (ASE Master preferred, state licenses a plus)
• Proven Service Foreman or Service Manager or Service Advisor experience in a high-volume independent or dealership repair shop
• Leader who works at the lift – you diagnose, present, sell the job, and jump in when it’s busy
• Zero delegators need apply – you set the pace, mentor techs in real time, and keep the shop humming
• Customer-facing rockstar: able to explain repairs in plain English, build trust, and ethically upsell maintenance and needed services
• “Weekend Warrior” schedule: Fully available Saturdays & Sundays + 3 weekdays = 5-day work week (maximize earnings with mid-week recovery)

What You’ll Do Every Day

• Run the service drive and shop floor like a pit crew chief
• Greet every customer, perform digital inspections, present recommendations, and assist closing the sale
• Dispatch work, monitor bay efficiency, and keep repair times fast
• Jump on the lift yourself when needed to diagnose tough ones or keep the team on pace
• Drive daily/weekly/monthly goals for gross profit, CSI, productivity, and technician efficiency
• Mentor and motivate a team that matches your intensity
