About the Role

Pleasant Car Care is hiring a General Service Technician to support our high-volume operation by performing our Rack Attack inspection process. You’ll be the first set of hands on incoming vehicles—completing a consistent, thorough safety and condition inspection that helps keep the shop flowing and technicians turning hours.

The Rack Attack Process (3-Stage Inspection)

Under Hood Check

• Inspect fluids, filters, belts, battery, mounts, and visible engine components
• Check for leaks, wear, and safety concerns

Mid-Rise Check

• Shake wheels to evaluate steering, suspension, and brakes
• Pull wheels to inspect shocks/struts, brake hardware, and accessible side areas

High-Rise Check

• Perform a full undercarriage inspection (front to back) using a light
• Identify leaks, damage, and wear items requiring attention

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles safely into bays and onto lifts
• Complete Rack Attack inspections accurately and consistently
• Document results and clearly communicate findings to the service team
• Support shop flow by ensuring vehicles are staged and ready for repair
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications

• Prior automotive experience preferred (general service, lube tech, or apprentice level)
• Able to lift wheels/tires and perform hands-on inspections
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Works well in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
