Overview

A busy, well-established independent automotive repair shop specializing in all makes and models in Lombard, IL is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join the team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the service process, and takes pride in delivering honest, high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and manage the service experience from vehicle check-in through delivery.
• Write and manage repair orders for all makes and models, providing clear and accurate estimates.
• Communicate recommended services in a professional and transparent manner.
• Coordinate workflow between technicians and customers to ensure efficient turnaround times.
• Track approvals, follow up with customers, and help achieve daily and monthly sales goals.
• Build long-term relationships through trust, communication, and consistency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor (independent or dealership).
• Strong communication and sales skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Solid understanding of automotive systems across domestic and import vehicles.
• Experience with shop management software (Tekmetric, RO Writer, Mitchell, etc.).
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
