Corporate EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Manager

Location: North Fresno County, CA

Reports to: Head of HR / SVP of Manufacturing

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

A leading manufacturer seeks a proactive, collaborative Corporate EHS Manager to champion a dynamic safety culture across four U.S. production facilities. Based in North Fresno County, CA, you will develop and implement EHS policies, train and guide teams, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your goal is to continuously improve safety performance, reduce risks, and foster an environment where everyone can work confidently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Policy & Compliance: Create, update, and oversee environmental, health, and safety policies (e.g., IIPP). Track and maintain compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
  • Training & Development: Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs; coach and mentor managers and frontline personnel.
  • Safety Audits & Investigations: Conduct regular inspections, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actions. Perform and review incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Workers’ Compensation: Manage claims promptly, coordinate with healthcare providers, and facilitate smooth return-to-work processes.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain OSHA logs, analyze EHS metrics, and prepare performance reports for leadership.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Oversee permitting, hazardous waste handling, and other environmental compliance measures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) plus 4+ years in EHS; manufacturing background preferred.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Office and production environments; moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Frequent sitting; occasional standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Periodic travel (10–15%) to facilities in CA, OR, and MS.
