We’re partnering with one of Houston’s most respected public accounting firms, recognized as a top workplace in the profession, to find a Tax Manager or Senior Manager with strong technical expertise in energy taxation. You'll work with high-profile upstream clients (E&P), lead advisory engagements, and help shape the firm’s well-established oil & gas practice.

🔹 What You’ll Do:
- Lead tax compliance and planning for energy clients, particularly upstream (E&P) partnerships
- Advise on technical areas including IDC, depletion, depreciation, and energy-specific deductions
- Drive complex tax strategy around acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of tax professionals
- Partner with attorneys and financial advisors on client matters
- Manage tax provisions, audit responses, and federal/state tax positions
- Identify growth opportunities and deepen client relationships
🔹 What You’ll Need:
- CPA required
- 5–10+ years in public accounting or advisory, ideally with oil & gas clients
- Strong command of partnership taxation, GAAP, and energy-specific tax planning
- Experience with tax software (GoSystems, Checkpoint, BNA, etc.)
- Proven leadership and project management experience
- (Preferred) Master’s in Tax or MBA
