Job Title: Marketing Analytics Contractor – Web Experience Team

Location: 100%Remote

Rate: $38-$40/ HOUR

Duration: Through 6/30/26 - expected to be an 18 month contract!


Summary

The Marketing Analytics Contractor will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making for our client's Web Experience team. This position focuses on measuring, analyzing, and optimizing marketing surfaces to improve user engagement and conversion. By transforming ambiguous business questions into actionable insights, this role ensures marketing programs and web initiatives deliver measurable impact.


About the Team

The Web Experience team drives strategy, measurement, and optimization of marketing surfaces. We collaborate with product marketing, brand, and demand generation teams to experiment, measure, and continuously improve how users discover and adopt products. This role offers high-impact work, flexibility, and opportunities to communicate insights to leadership in a clear, compelling manner.


Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the impact of web projects and cross-team initiatives using analytics tools and structured methodologies.
  • Design, run, and interpret web experiments leveraging platforms such as Ninetailed and internal frameworks.
  • Utilize behavioral analytics tools (e.g., FullStory) to assess engagement, usability, and user journey performance.
  • Develop and maintain monthly reporting on web engagement, including session patterns and page-level trends.
  • Collaborate with product managers and marketers to clarify exploratory analytics questions and deliver structured analyses.
  • Investigate conversion paths and identify opportunities for optimization across purchase flows.


Measurable Outcomes

  • Delivery of clear, actionable insights that reduce ambiguity for marketing teams.
  • Smooth execution and evaluation of web experiments with statistically sound methodologies.
  • Comprehensive, user-friendly monthly engagement reports.
  • Identification of behavioral gaps and opportunities through FullStory investigations.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in web analytics and/or marketing analytics.
  • Expertise in Google Analytics (or similar platforms) for performance tracking and interpretation.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data manipulation).
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to refine ambiguous questions into structured approaches.
  • Proficiency in A/B testing methodologies and statistical concepts (power, significance, confidence intervals).
  • Excellent communication skills for translating complex findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with FullStory or similar behavioral analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau).
  • Experience with experiment platforms (e.g., Ninetailed, Optimizely, LaunchDarkly).
  • Understanding of SEO analytics and logged-in behavior measurement.
  • Exposure to developer-focused products (bonus).
