Job Title: Business Planning Project Manager (Cloud Monetization and Launch Operations)

Location: 100% Remote - PST hours required

Rate: $60-$62/ hour

Duration: Through 6/30/26 - extension expected based on performance

Citizenship: US Citizenship attestation is required due to working directly with the US Federal Government on various projects.


The Business Planning Project Manager supports a high‑impact Business Planning team responsible for pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies across cloud and technology solutions. This role focuses on launch execution, pricing analysis support, cross‑functional coordination, and operational project management to enable durable profit growth and successful market delivery of products and services.


Key Responsibilities

The role supports launch execution and business planning across five core areas:

1. Pricing and Monetization Support

  • Contribute to ongoing pricing discussions using established monetization frameworks.
  • Support pricing analysis, data validation, and pricing verification activities.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders through strong understanding of product and service offerings.

2. Launch Operations and Stakeholder Support

  • Provide launch execution support when Operations vendor capacity is limited or when launches are Business Planner led.
  • Support operational launch activities including Control Tower updates, Change Requests, pre‑production ICM creation and corrections, Change Summary validation, and exception management.
  • Partner with Software Engineering on meter minting processes and reporting.
  • Support Business Planners by gathering system issues and contributing to process improvements.

3. Meeting Coordination and Program Support

  • Coordinate and facilitate cross‑functional meetings, leadership reviews, and team syncs.
  • Represent Business Planners in launch‑related meetings as needed.
  • Act as a liaison across Engineering, Product Marketing, Finance, and Operations to communicate updates and remove blockers.

4. Team Enhancements and Special Initiatives

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of best practices.
  • Assist with onboarding and enablement of new Business Planners by connecting them with key resources and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategic team initiatives and special projects.

5. Project and Review Tracking

  • Maintain and update the Project and Review Tracker for initiatives not yet in formal launch systems.
  • Coordinate project readiness, approvals, and scheduling for leadership reviews.
  • Partner closely with Business Planners to prepare materials for standing VP‑level reviews.


Performance is evaluated based on:

  • Successful execution of launch and meter‑related activities.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of project management tool updates.
  • Quality of cross‑functional coordination and stakeholder feedback.
  • Consistent delivery against launch timelines and operational requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education and Certifications

  • PMI certification is required.
  • Degree in a related field is preferred, with advanced education considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated professional experience is valued over formal education.


Experience

  • Demonstrated project management experience supporting complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Background in data analysis, pricing support, or business planning within technology or software environments.
  • Experience operating in large, matrixed enterprise organizations.


Core Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and executive communication.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting product or service launches using project management tools.
  • Clear, structured written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast‑moving environments.


Candidate Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively.
  • Comfort engaging with Engineering, Finance, Product Marketing, and Operations stakeholders.
  • Experience working with external vendors and internal partner teams.
  • No defined disqualifiers for this role.


Assessment Process

  • Interview process typically includes two rounds.
  • Initial discussion with the role sponsor.
  • Follow‑up discussion with the Business Planner the role will directly support.
  • Additional interview rounds may be included if required.
  • Candidates should be prepared to discuss relevant prior experience in pricing support, launch execution, and project management.
