Job Title: Business Analyst – FP&A Support
Location: 100% remote - Must be PST
Rate: $40-42/ hour
Duration: Thorough 6/30/26
The Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities for a dynamic, fast-paced organization. This position is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful reporting and analysis to guide strategic decision-making. The role involves maintaining advanced financial models, refreshing key reports, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a virtual environment, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and excels at storytelling with data.
Responsibilities:
Reporting & Analysis:
- Refresh and update monthly key reports, scorecards, and presentation slides in collaboration with the team.
- Deliver weekly business outlook reports based on current trends and forecasts.
Forecasting & Modeling:
- Maintain and update advanced financial models on a monthly basis.
- Provide variance-to-forecast analysis across all relevant business metrics.
Ad-Hoc Support:
- Execute ad-hoc analyses and deliverables as requested, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Provide actionable insights to support broader team initiatives.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and reviews (approximately 20% of time).
- Communicate findings effectively, highlighting anomalies or unclear data trends.
Measurable Outcomes:
- Timely delivery of monthly reports and weekly outlooks.
- Accuracy and completeness of variance analyses and financial models.
- Quality of insights provided to stakeholders, measured by clarity and impact on decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in FP&A, business analysis, or finance analysis roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, virtual environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including data storytelling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in FP&A or data analysis (highly desirable).
- Experience collaborating across matrixed teams.
- Comfort with frequent changes and ambiguity in a dynamic business setting.
- Proactive mindset and ability to identify and address data inconsistencies.
- Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, and business management principles.
