Job Title: Market Assistant - Web Content

Location: Remote

Rate: $35-$37 hourly

Duration: Through 6/30/2027 (w/chance of extension)


This role will support the execution of quantitative research studies with a focus on survey design, programming, data processing, and insight generation. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, data-driven outputs that inform business decisions. The position requires strong technical execution, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.


Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field

Experience

  • Professional experience in market research, analytics, or consumer insights
  • Hands-on experience with survey programming and dataset analysis

Core Skills

  • Proficiency in survey programming tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Decipher)
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, crosstabs, and data cleaning
  • Experience with statistical tools such as SPSS, R, or similar platforms
  • Ability to analyze large-scale survey datasets and generate actionable insights
  • Strong data visualization and reporting capabilities
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
  • Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently


Candidate Requirements

Mandatory Criteria

  • Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end survey execution
  • Strong programming capability in survey platforms
  • Proven data analysis capability using statistical tools

Screening Considerations

  • Stable professional experience with consistent tenure in prior roles
  • Balanced market research focus (not solely user experience research)
  • Completion of a required skills-based assessment prior to interview

  • Familiarity with advanced quantitative methods such as segmentation, regression, or weighting

Assessment Process

  • Skills-based assessment required prior to interview
  • One to two interview rounds focused on technical capability and applied research skills

Key Responsibilities

Survey Design and Programming

  • Draft survey questionnaires aligned with defined research objectives
  • Apply best practices in survey design including clarity, logical structure, and unbiased question construction
  • Program surveys using platforms such as Qualtrics or Decipher, including logic, piping, and randomization
  • Conduct comprehensive quality assurance to ensure accuracy and a seamless respondent experience

Data Processing and Crosstab Development

  • Clean, structure, and prepare datasets for analysis, including coding and variable setup
  • Develop crosstabs aligned with analysis plans and business requirements
  • Validate data accuracy and identify anomalies or quality issues

Analysis and Insights Support

  • Execute analysis plans using descriptive statistics and foundational analytical techniques
  • Identify trends, patterns, and differences across datasets
  • Validate findings against hypotheses and highlight unexpected results
  • Support development of data-driven insights tied to business priorities

Reporting and Deliverables

  • Develop draft reports and presentations (PowerPoint or Word) summarizing findings
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, concise insights
  • Create charts and tables that effectively communicate results
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback to refine deliverables

Project and Timeline Management

  • Own execution timelines across multiple concurrent research projects
  • Proactively communicate risks, delays, and mitigation plans
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines
  • Maintain organized documentation and file management

Research Execution Support

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and senior researchers to refine research plans
  • Ensure deliverables align with business goals and research objectives
  • Participate in research reviews to improve rigor, clarity, and actionability
