Job Title: Hardware Lifecycle Research Specialist
Location:100% Remote
Hours: M-F, 30 hours/ week
Rate: $56-58 per hour
Duration: Through 6/30/26 (extension possible)
This role supports the Hardware Planning team responsible for managing the lifecycle of network hardware devices. The position focuses on planning, researching, and executing lifecycle activities such as last-time buys, decommissioning, and identifying replacement timelines for hardware components.
Core Skills:

- Proven research and data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and manual data review.
- Familiarity with hardware lifecycle processes and network environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on hardware lifecycle attributes, including end-of-life timelines and replacement requirements.
- Pull and analyze data on older devices from multiple systems and consolidate findings in Excel.
- Interface with clients on technical matters and project-related subjects from initiation through delivery.
- Develop functional specifications, requirements, and scope documents to guide decision-making.
- Provide technical and analytical information to Product Managers as needed.
- Organize cross-functional activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Support daily operational needs and unexpected research requests across teams.
Performance Measurement
- Success will be measured by contribution to team goals, reducing operational churn, and delivering accurate research results.
- Demonstrated ability to be a supportive team player and produce actionable insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 2–4 years in network or hardware industry roles.
- 2–4 years in program or project management.
- 2–4 years in technical and analytical work, including data review and lifecycle research.
