SSO Personnel are currently looking for an experienced HGV Workshop Manager to join our workshop team located in North East Cork

This role involves overseeing daily workshop operations, supporting mechanics, and ensuring all servicing and repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Duties Include

• Scheduling and allocating work to mechanics
• Providing technical support and guidance to workshop staff
• Supervising servicing, maintenance, and repair work
• Ensuring all safety procedures and paperwork are completed correctly
• Assisting with parts identification and repair quotations
• Maintaining high workshop housekeeping and health & safety standards
• Mentoring apprentices and junior mechanics
• Ensuring all completed work is documented on our system
• Carrying out Tool Box Talks when required

Requirements

• Experience working with HGVs or commercial vehicles
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Ability to lead and support a workshop team
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to maintaining high safety and workshop standards
• HGV licence beneficial but not essential
