- Contract opportunities can vary in a number of ways, including:
- Hours: Full-time, part-time, or project-specific hours
- Length: small projects to long-term evergreen needs
- Type: typically contracts, the occasional contract-to-hire or full-time staffing opportunity
- Industry: Saas products in a wide range of verticals
- Must be a U.S. citizen currently residing in the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Test current products and identify deficiencies
- Suggest solutions to identified product problems
- Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction
- Plan, create, and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution
- Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement
- Oversee continuous improvement projects
- Collect quality data
- Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Writing automation tests using
- Programming languages like: Python, Java, C#, Javascript, Ruby, PHP
- Test automation tools like: Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Katalon Studio, Robot
- Other technologies like:
- Version control systems (Git, Mercurial)
- Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis CI)
- Bug tracking systems (Jira, Bugzilla, MantisBT)
- Database query languages (SQL, NoSQL)
- API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI)
- Integrated development environments (IDEs) (Visual Studio, Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA)
Requirements:
- 4+ years experience in quality control, software quality assurance, or other related fields
- Detailed eye to catch design flaws, spelling errors, and broken features
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Familiarity with SEO, SEM, and Google Analytics is a bonus
- Understanding of UI and UX for both website and application development
- Stellar verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical skills that have been to the gym
- Plays well with others
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
