Details: 


  • Work remote 
  • Contract opportunities can vary in a number of ways, including: 
  • Hours: Full-time, part-time, or project-specific hours
  • Length: small projects to long-term evergreen needs
  • Type: 1099 contracts, contract-to-hire, or W2 full-time direct placement opportunities
  • Industry: Saas products in a wide range of verticals
  • Must be a U.S. citizen currently residing in the U.S - time zones from PST to EST welcome.


What You'll Do:


  • Be the senior designer as part of a cross-functional product team leading the end-to-end product design process, shipping features across native mobile and web platforms (research, wireframes, prototypes, flows, detailed design specs, managing the visual QA and implementation process)
  • Be autonomous and a team player - take full ownership of your work while also functioning effectively in a collaborate environment
  • Produce multiple concepts; know when to apply attention to detail and when to make low-fi sketches and prototypes
  • Actively participate in design critiques to give and receive feedback from other designers
  • Partner with the PM and team lead in a scrum environment to articulate the long, medium, and short-term goals (e.g. design sprints, workshops, planning)
  • Problem solve, think big, and explore divergent concepts/ideas while understanding how to converge and build iteratively towards your vision; clearly present your work at various stages
  • Influence the shape of the product with research and data while executing design work using high-quality wireframes, mockups, user journeys, and cross-platform interactive prototypes
  • Inspire the entire team (including your cross-functional) partners by bringing new ideas to the table
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal


Who You Are:


  • 7+ years of experience working in UX, UI, HCI related fields with experience working on SaaS/internal tooling products
  • Excellent communicator and can clearly articulate your design decisions
  • Have a user- and data-focused design mentality and constantly looking to sharpen your skills through their insight
  • Have the ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision
  • Have a portfolio featuring examples of interaction design work backed data driven decisions 
  • Highly proficient with design tools (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Highly proficient with interactive prototyping tools
  • Excellence in design craft
  • Excited about working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
