Details: 


  • Our contractor network is invited to join our Slack channel, where they get first eyes on incoming opportunities with Midwestern clients. 
  • Work remotely anywhere in the US
  • Work on a 1099 contracted basis
  • Contract opportunities can vary in a number of ways, including: 
  • Hours: Full-time (most common), part-time, or project-specific hours
  • Length: small scoped projects to long-term evergreen needs
  • Industry: Saas products in a wide range of verticals
  • Company Size: serving clients from startup to enterprise


Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, and test high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand and implement project requirements.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and unit-tested code adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges and bugs independently, seeking assistance when needed.
  • Communicate with clients as the point person on projects
  • Specific responsibilities may vary depending on the project and client needs.


Qualifications:


Our clients vary in their use of mobile languages and frameworks. We know you won't be an expert in all of them, but we're looking for frontend, backend, and fullstack Javascript engineers with:


  • 5+ years of dedicated Javascript development experience using any of the following:
  • Frontend Development:
  • Frameworks/Libraries: React.js, Angular, Vue.js, Svelte, Next.js, Nuxt.js
  • State Management: Redux (with Redux Toolkit), Zustand, MobX, Context API
  • Styling: CSS-in-JS (e.g., Styled Components, Emotion), Tailwind CSS, SASS/LESS, BEM
  • Build Tools: Webpack, Vite, Parcel
  • TypeScript: Strong proficiency with TypeScript for robust, scalable applications.
  • Backend Development:
  • Frameworks: Node.js Express.js, NestJS
  • ORMs/ODMs: Sequelize, TypeORM, Mongoose
  • Authentication/Authorization: Passport.js, JWT
  • Real-time Communication: Socket.IO, WebSockets
  • Familiarity with database and cloud infrastructure concepts including:
  • Databases: Relational and NoSQL
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
  • Serverless Architectures: Experience with deploying and managing serverless functions.
  • Deep understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem and package managers (npm, yarn, pnpm).
  • Proficiency with API integrations such as designing and consuming RESTful/GraphQL services, using tools like Postman/Insomnia, and client-side libraries like axios or the native fetch API.
  • Working knowledge of collaborative tools and methodologies such as Git, Jira/Trello/Asana, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Working knowledge of Figma.
