Location: Denver, CO

Compensation: Up to $240,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits


About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a nationally scaled industrial infrastructure services organization seeking a senior leader to establish and lead enterprise project controls strategy across its Industrial Services platform. This role sits at the intersection of operational discipline, financial performance, and execution excellence, shaping how complex industrial work is planned, tracked, forecasted, and delivered.


This position owns responsibility for building and institutionalizing best in class controls across the full project lifecycle from opportunity tracking and estimating interfaces through execution governance, forecasting, and closeout. The leader in this role will influence organizational standards, train and mentor project teams, and audit compliance across multiple service lines including industrial construction, electrical, fabrication, structural, mechanical, and specialty craft scopes.


This opportunity is ideal for a strategic operator who understands how to scale process maturity across growing organizations while maintaining strong field alignment. The role provides visibility across executive leadership and plays a direct part in protecting margins, improving predictability, and strengthening client delivery outcomes.


You’ll Do

Enterprise Project Controls Leadership

  • Establish, implement, train, and audit project controls standards across the organization
  • Serve as subject matter expert supporting project teams and regional leadership
  • Drive alignment between project execution, financial performance, and reporting discipline
  • Lead and mentor project controls personnel and centralized support resources

Preconstruction & Opportunity Interface

  • Partner with sales leadership to enforce opportunity tracking standards
  • Support lead handoff processes from qualification through estimating engagement
  • Ensure bid data integrity and win rate tracking visibility
  • Review estimating workflows and contribute risk, productivity, and costing feedback
  • Participate in bid reviews to ensure alignment with historical production and margin expectations
  • Support development of regional rate structures and cost benchmarks

Project Lifecycle Governance

Develop, train, and audit SOPs across:

  • Project setup including budgeting and accounting interface
  • Execution planning and work plan discipline
  • Scheduling, costing, and production tracking
  • Procurement coordination and long lead planning
  • Document and contract management
  • Change order governance
  • Forecasting and financial reporting
  • Customer invoicing discipline
  • Closeout execution including punch lists, demobilization, and postmortems
  • Ensure regional compliance with established standards and reporting cadence
  • Direct creation of job records and lessons learned documentation

Performance & KPI Ownership

  • Maintain oversight supporting margin performance targets across service lines
  • Monitor accrual discipline and billing timeliness
  • Develop new KPI frameworks tied to training progression and audit pass rates
  • Guide project teams toward measurable execution improvement

Operational & Resource Support

  • Support labor and equipment leveling initiatives
  • Contribute to capital planning visibility where required
  • Provide escalation support to projects experiencing margin or client challenges
  • Participate in strategic client interactions when beneficial


What We’re Looking For

  • 13+ years of industrial construction or infrastructure project experience
  • 4+ years serving as a Project Manager or similar leadership role
  • Deep familiarity with project controls across full lifecycle delivery
  • Experience implementing or auditing execution standards across multiple teams
  • Strong financial and margin performance awareness
  • Experience with job costing platforms such as HeavyJob or comparable systems
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or equivalent
  • Experience with accounting integration platforms such as Viewpoint or similar
  • Exposure to estimating platforms such as HeavyBid or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong technical writing and documentation capability
  • OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
  • Demonstrated leadership presence, humility, and collaborative mindset
