The person in this role will lead the successful execution of multiple industrial construction projects across diverse sectors including mission-critical/data centers. This role is responsible for full lifecycle project oversight—from planning and estimating to execution and closeout—while ensuring safety, quality, and cost control at every stage.


Please note: Candidates may reside anywhere but will be required to travel up to 80% for this position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage electrical construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Oversee all project functions including planning, scheduling, estimating, staffing, and progress tracking.
  • Recruit, manage, and mentor a multidisciplinary project team, including Project Engineers, Field Engineers, Superintendents, and Foremen.
  • Supervise day-to-day activities on-site, ensuring work aligns with technical specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.
  • Promote and enforce adherence to all safety and environmental policies; ensure team members are trained and compliant.
  • Coordinate labor, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure all personnel are trained and certified as required for equipment and job duties.
  • Monitor job costs, conduct performance reviews, and produce accurate monthly forecasts.
  • Provide detailed reports on progress, cost control, scheduling, and any other key project metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new project opportunities.
  • Review project schedules regularly and work closely with Project Engineers to communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit accurate cost-based estimates in response to RFPs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 8+ years of construction experience, specifically on industrial projects.
  • 4+ years of experience in a Project Manager role.
  • Proficiency in job cost tracking using HCSS Heavy Job or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or equivalent.
  • Experience with Viewpoint or similar project accounting software.
  • Competence with Heavy Bid or comparable estimating software.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its application to construction.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA or equivalent safety certification required.
