Accounts Assistant / Semi-Senior Accountant

Location: Ashford, Kent

Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience).

The Role: Your Opportunity to Thrive

As an Accounts Assistant / Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be a vital part of a close-knit team, delivering high-quality financial services and building strong client relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

•Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for a varied client base.

•Producing detailed management accounts to provide clear business insights.

•Handling VAT & CIS returns with precision.

•Supporting tax compliance and responding effectively to HMRC queries.

•Providing exceptional client service and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships.

•Engaging in ad hoc projects to broaden your experience.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will need:

•Essential: Previous experience working within an Accountancy Practice.

•Qualifications: AAT qualified, with a desire to pursue ACCA (ACCA Part-Qualified or looking to study).

•Technical Skills: Strong experience with Xero and excellent Excel skills (including complex formulas).

•Knowledge: Robust technical knowledge across accounts preparation, VAT, and tax.

•Personal Attributes: High attention to detail and strong analytical ability,

• Confident communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
