Reliance One, Inc. is hiring for our client for a Production Engineer to help scale manufacturing capabilities and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Engineer will plan, coordinate, and deploy resources to ensure high-quality product output while enabling our assembly team to exceed customer expectations. This role reports to the Operations Manager and collaborates closely with Production, Shipping & Receiving, Supply Chain, Technical Support, and Operations teams.
What you’ll be doing:
- Continuously evaluate, design, and organize workflow, equipment layout, and space utilization to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate to identify and resolve manufacturing issues while implementing corrective actions.
- Design and implement production equipment and tooling; support redevelopment or upgrading of existing equipment.
- Recommend, justify, and implement CAPEX projects aligned with strategic goals.
- Work with engineering, technical support, and supply chain to support production readiness activities.
- Ensure production processes comply with customer requirements, technical standards, quality, and occupational safety.
- Monitor and optimize production process parameters.
- Lead or participate in Kaizen events to foster a continuous improvement mindset.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Performance Objectives:
- Implement and manage KPIs to optimize operational efficiency and throughput.
- Maximize equipment OEE to minimize throughput constraints.
- Drive Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical) or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience implementing significant CAPEX investments with measurable outcomes.
- CAD knowledge (AutoCAD preferred).
- Familiarity with circuit board manufacturing, ESD, and related IPC standards.
- Training in root-cause problem-solving; Six Sigma certification a plus.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, including flow, pull, standardized work, KPI deployment, and visual workplace management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels.
