Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support inspection, testing, and quality assurance activities within a manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring products meet customer requirements and internal quality standards.
Position Overview
The Quality Technician conducts inspections, testing, and analysis throughout the production process to verify product conformance. This role involves working with measurement tools, interpreting engineering drawings, and documenting results to support quality assurance efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and standards to inspect and test products throughout manufacturing processes
- Perform dimensional, attribute, performance, mechanical, and/or chemical inspections to ensure conformance to specifications
- Record and analyze test data, applying statistical process control (SPC) methods where applicable
- Document inspection results and identify deviations from standards, providing clear and accurate reports
- Support calibration of tools and gauges as required
- Operate measurement equipment such as CMMs, profilometers, hardness testers, optical comparators, and standard gages (calipers, micrometers, protractors, etc.)
- Assist with Material Review Board (MRB) activities and support containment and sorting efforts as needed
- Collaborate with quality and production teams to maintain high product standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Proficiency with quality inspection tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts for measurement and analysis
- Ability to determine product status based on inspection and test results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, particularly in metal manufacturing environments
Education & Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing or engineering
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 25 lbs
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (8–12 hour shifts) on concrete surfaces
- Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching throughout the shift
