Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support analytical testing and material evaluations. This role is responsible for executing lab procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate data collection to support engineering and product development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate analytical requests into sample preparation, equipment setup, data collection, and reporting
- Conduct material evaluations using standard testing methods
- Maintain compliance with lab safety standards and workplace organization practices
- Follow standardized work methods and machine operating procedures
- Identify and communicate abnormalities in processes or data
- Support lab equipment maintenance, including preventative maintenance and calibration
- Lead or participate in problem-solving activities to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field or equivalent laboratory experience
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineers and ensure accurate results
- Experience executing analyses using technical standards and prescribed methodologies
- Ability to troubleshoot testing and equipment issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Outlook
