Position Overview
Reliance One, Inc. is hiring a Customer Quality Engineer to serve as the primary liaison between the organization and its customers. This role is critical in ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within an automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System in alignment with IATF 16949, VDA standards, and customer-specific requirements
- Coordinate and support customer audits, compliance reviews, and performance assessments
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify quality risks and implement preventative measures
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions using industry-standard methodologies
- Monitor and report on quality metrics, identifying trends and improvement opportunities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality processes
- Assist in preparing the organization for evolving customer requirements and industry standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of quality engineering experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in automotive electronics manufacturing
- Experience with customer portals, scorecards, and concern resolution processes
- Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization
Technical Expertise
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.1/6.5 standards
- Strong knowledge of AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, GD&T)
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (8D, Shainin, 5-Phase, Six Sigma)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
