Controls Engineer

Location: Georgetown, KY

Pay Rate: $55–$60 per hour

Type: Full-Time | Contract

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role

Reliance One is seeking a Controls Engineer to join a high-impact team focused on deploying digital transformation and process improvement initiatives. This role will involve both design and hands-on implementation, including on-site deployment and installations across North America.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and update PLC, HMI, SCADA, vision systems, RFID, and IIoT systems
• Design and optimize hardwire layouts, panel layouts, and field device layouts
• Lead installation management, supervision, and commissioning to ensure system integration and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, process engineering, and controls groups
• Provide customer interaction, feedback, and support for deployment projects

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming
• Strong understanding of industrial networking
• Electrical hardware design experience
• Proven ability in equipment installation and commissioning
• Strong multitasking, communication, and teamwork skills

Bonus Skills

• Experience with stamping press, injection molding, casting, or CNC automation equipment
• Exposure to Ignition Software
