Ride and Handling Engineer

Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop the ride and handling performance of vehicle frame, body, and chassis systems. This position plays a key part in enhancing vehicle dynamics through analysis, testing, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.

Job Description:

• Develop ride and handling performance of vehicle frame, body, and chassis (including suspension and bushings) through prediction, evaluation, and analysis.
• Use CAE, FEA, MBD, or other simulation methods to identify and solve engineering challenges.
• Collect and evaluate vehicle and bench test measurements in collaboration with technician team members.
• Analyze and organize data to support vehicle dynamics development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an engineer (including industry co-op/internship, SAE project leadership, etc.).
• Completed academic coursework in mechanical engineering, including structures, vibrations, or automotive dynamics.

General Requirements:

• Experience in engineering experimentation, including planning, measurements, statistical analysis, and reporting.
• Experience with commercial FEA pre-processors, solvers, and post-processors.

Preferred:

• Experience contributing to projects as part of a diverse team.
