Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a driven Industrial Engineer to support continuous improvement initiatives and optimize operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role focuses on analyzing current processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing strategic improvements that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operating conditions to identify process inefficiencies and waste related to time, materials, cost, and energy.
- Conduct time and motion studies to evaluate current performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Conceptualize, propose, and help develop business cases for new efficiency initiatives.
- Develop and evaluate pilot programs, simulations, and prototypes; implement enhanced tools and processes.
- Design equipment and workspace layouts to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Plan and analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow patterns.
- Develop labor standards by analyzing work samples, methods, and performance metrics.
- Improve labor utilization by evaluating work methods, testing modifications, and recommending job restructuring.
- Improve workflow by studying process flow charts and recommending changes to workflow, workstations, procedures, products, or equipment.
- Reduce waste by analyzing equipment, methods, and operator techniques; recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with management and engineering teams to implement work improvement programs.
- Prepare comprehensive work-analysis reports summarizing data, trends, and findings.
- Train and guide operators and supervisors on newly implemented processes.
- Maintain and update operational guidelines, including policies, procedures, and methods.
- Protect the organization’s confidential information and promote proper information-handling practices.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficient with statistical analysis tools and software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
