Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Systems Analyst to take a lead role in implementing two new Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and supporting critical public health applications. This position plays a key role in optimizing workflows, improving data integrity, and ensuring efficient system performance that directly impacts public health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders
- Translate laboratory workflows into system requirements and user stories
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions for process improvements
- Support implementation, configuration, and enhancement of LIMS systems
- Collaborate with vendors and IT teams on integrations, upgrades, and issue resolution
- Assist with validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Analyze workflows (sample tracking, testing, reporting) to identify inefficiencies
- Develop SOPs, user guides, and system documentation
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Provide ongoing user support and training
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical users
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Biology/Chemistry also considered)
- 8+ years of experience in:
- Requirements elicitation and documentation (BRDs, FRDs, user stories)
- Process mapping (BPMN, flowcharts)
- Gap analysis and solution design
- Stakeholder management and communication
- Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
- Data migration and system implementation
- Training plan development and delivery
- Experience with LIMS platforms (Clinisys, STARLIMS, Labware)
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Understanding of system integrations (APIs, HL7, ETL processes)
- Working knowledge of SQL and database concepts
- Experience with data analysis/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau)
