Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Systems Analyst to take a lead role in implementing two new Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and supporting critical public health applications. This position plays a key role in optimizing workflows, improving data integrity, and ensuring efficient system performance that directly impacts public health services.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders
• Translate laboratory workflows into system requirements and user stories
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions for process improvements
• Support implementation, configuration, and enhancement of LIMS systems
• Collaborate with vendors and IT teams on integrations, upgrades, and issue resolution
• Assist with validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
• Analyze workflows (sample tracking, testing, reporting) to identify inefficiencies
• Develop SOPs, user guides, and system documentation
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Provide ongoing user support and training
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical users

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Biology/Chemistry also considered)
• 8+ years of experience in:
• Requirements elicitation and documentation (BRDs, FRDs, user stories)
• Process mapping (BPMN, flowcharts)
• Gap analysis and solution design
• Stakeholder management and communication
• Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
• Data migration and system implementation
• Training plan development and delivery
• Experience with LIMS platforms (Clinisys, STARLIMS, Labware)
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Understanding of system integrations (APIs, HL7, ETL processes)
• Working knowledge of SQL and database concepts
• Experience with data analysis/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau)
