Salary: $75,000-$85,000 annually + 17.5% annual bonus

We are hiring for one of our trusted clients seeking an Experienced Plant Cost Accountant to support our Client's manufacturing operations at their Dallas, Georgia facility. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong manufacturing cost accounting experience, ERP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with plant leadership and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and financial tracking
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Analyze production and operational costs within the ERP system
- Reconcile raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory
- Oversee physical inventory counts and analyze inventory reserves for potential shortages
- Compare standard manufacturing costs to actual production costs and investigate variances
- Analyze and explain price, labor, and efficiency variances
- Support inventory valuation and manufacturing accounting processes
- Assist with reporting and financial analysis related to plant operations
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment while supporting accounting team initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous staff management or leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing operations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Experience working within ERP systems
- Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliation processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of plant personnel
- Solid understanding of GAAP as it relates to inventory valuation and manufacturing operations highly preferred
