Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced Interiors Engineer to support the full lifecycle development of interior components, including instrument panels (IP) and trim systems. This role is hands-on, highly collaborative, and requires strong technical expertise in Catia V5, vehicle packaging, and automotive interior design.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the design and development of interior components, primarily IP and trim, ensuring alignment with vehicle program requirements.
  • Manage components throughout the full development cycle—from concept and feasibility through production line-off—using established company methodologies and vehicle development processes.
  • Execute design work utilizing Catia V5, both independently and through guidance of Supplier Engineers and CAD modelers.
  • Conduct packaging and layout studies to confirm fit, function, and manufacturability of assigned components.
  • Create detailed drawings and 3D models that comply with company design standards and specifications.
  • Monitor and manage project priorities, adjusting workflows and deliverables to ensure timing, cost, performance, and quality targets are consistently met.
  • Identify and communicate risks, issues, and design gaps; provide clear visual documentation to support resolution.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, reflection activities, and cross-functional engineering reviews as needed.


Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
  • 8+ years of engineering design experience with interior components.
  • 8+ years of experience using Catia V5 in an automotive engineering environment.
