Production Supervisor

Compensation: $36-$37/hour
Overview:
Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Group Leader to oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead a production team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting operational goals and team performance on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a production team of approximately 40 employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Champion workplace safety by ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and holding team members accountable.
• Oversee assembly operations, including torque verification and proper installation of components.
• Manage daily production activities to meet quality, efficiency, and production targets.
• Address attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters, including employee discussions and interviews.
• Monitor and resolve safety and quality concerns while maintaining accurate documentation and data entry.
• Make timely and confident decisions in a fast-paced production setting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with SPQRCE principles.
• Collaborate with quality, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to improve processes and resolve operational issues.
• Supervise approximately 40 hourly employees in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Work cross-functionally with internal departments and leadership teams.
• Operate in a fast-paced, accountability-driven production environment.
• Flexibility to support extended hours based on production demands and operational needs.
• Demonstrate strong leadership presence within a union/UAW environment.
• Hold employees accountable while maintaining positive working relationships.
• Be coachable and open to ongoing development and feedback.
• Take ownership of team performance, production goals, and operational success.
• Lead independently while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing production teams.
• Strong computer skills, including Kronos, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Union/UAW experience preferred.
