Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Manager, for one of our highly respected clients, to lead all quality functions within a manufacturing facility, ensuring products meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality objectives. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, oversees quality systems, and partners cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain to deliver world-class quality performance.


Position Summary

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading all quality functions within a manufacturing facility, ensuring products meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality objectives. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, oversees quality systems, and partners cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain to deliver world-class quality performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all plant-level quality activities including quality systems, audits, inspections, and customer interface
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 (or applicable standards) and customer-specific requirements
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) for internal and external quality issues
  • Manage PPAP, APQP, and launch quality activities for new product introductions
  • Oversee supplier quality performance, including SCARs, audits, and incoming quality processes
  • Lead and develop the plant quality team, including engineers, supervisors, and technicians
  • Monitor and report key quality KPIs (PPM, scrap, warranty, cost of poor quality)
  • Partner with operations to drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and process capability (SPC)
  • Support customer audits, visits, and escalations as the primary plant quality contact
  • Ensure proper documentation, control plans, and quality standards are maintained and followed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role, with leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of automotive or regulated quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO, AS9100, etc.)
  • Experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, control plans, and SPC
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive cross-functional results
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills


Preferred Experience

  • Experience in automotive, Tier 1, or high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
  • Experience managing customer-facing quality issues and audits
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software
