Quality Controller
New Troy

Reliance One is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Controller to support a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment in New Troy, Michigan. This role is responsible for overseeing MRB/EPC activities, supporting production flow, inspecting nonconforming parts, and helping ensure customer expectations and quality standards are consistently met.
This is a first-shift opportunity working Monday through Friday from 7:00AM–3:00PM, with overtime as needed. The position offers paid time off, paid holidays, and a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily product flow through the EPC area alongside Production Control and Shipping teams
- Inspect parts requiring EPC review or sorting activities
- Provide daily direction to EPC auditors regarding priorities and expectations
- Track and maintain traceability of all parts placed in QC Hold areas
- Support area layout organization and product staging
- Report EPC and sorting findings to departmental leadership, including repeat MRB non-conformances and NG findings
- Track weekly metrics related to sorting efficiencies and internal quality activities
- Maintain RMA inventory reporting for Quality Management
- Ensure MRB and EPC tracking logs are properly maintained and updated
- Assist the Quality Manager with overtime scheduling and staffing needs
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with Lean manufacturing methods
- Basic blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to direct team members
- Elevated knowledge of PLEX systems with emphasis on Inventory Control
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using inspection and measurement equipment
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, lift, push, pull, and move materials throughout the shift
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may be noisy, dusty, or subject to temperature changes
