Application Security Lead

Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced Application Security Lead to implement and drive robust security measures that safeguard enterprise software assets against cyber threats. This position requires technical expertise in application security and the ability to guide both security and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of application security policies, standards, and best practices in alignment with industry requirements.
• Manage a team of application engineers to develop and execute product security initiatives.
• Conduct security assessments throughout the SDLC to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Integrate security controls into development processes, including secure coding, code reviews, and security testing.
• Provide expertise in secure coding, architecture, and threat modeling.
• Oversee application security testing (vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, code analysis).
• Coordinate incident response for application-related security events.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training for development teams.
• Ensure third-party and open-source components meet security requirements.
• Maintain documentation of application security processes and architecture.

Qualifications – Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of application security or cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and implementing cybersecurity policies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity regulations and laws.
• Cyber incident response experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Application development and support experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
• Experience with secure coding practices, static/dynamic analysis tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
