Pay: $48–$52/hr

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States


About the Role:

We are seeking a Production Engineer to join our powertrain team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will prepare and coordinate manufacturing equipment for new model launches and support plant competitiveness. You’ll develop process plans, mentor team members, and lead projects from budgeting and machine specification to installation and production launch.


What You’ll Do:

  • Develop process plans for production lines within the powertrain department.
  • Mentor and directly support other engineers and technicians.
  • Lead cost planning, budgeting, machine specification, procurement, validation, installation, pre-production trials, and launch of production lines.
  • Maintain detailed schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups locally and across corporate departments.
  • Participate in a mentorship program to grow as an engineer and learn from peers.
  • Support construction and equipment installations on production lines.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of automotive engineering experience.
  • 3D CAD experience in CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar software.
  • AutoCAD experience with the ability to read, interpret, and modify 2D drawings.
  • Experience creating and implementing assembly processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to powertrain manufacturing processes.
  • Experience preparing production and executing capital projects from planning to start of production.
  • Experience creating and utilizing detailed schedules for capital projects over $500K.
  • Equipment installation and validation experience.
  • PLC experience, including investigation and troubleshooting capabilities.
