Manufacturing Process Engineer

Contract Opportunity | $40–$44/hour

On-Site | Full-Time


Position Overview

Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support automotive assembly operations from concept through launch. This role will focus on process development, tooling, and driving data-driven decisions to ensure successful program execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development of process tooling for trim, chassis, and final assembly operations
  • Support programs from vehicle design concept through plant launch
  • Champion data-driven decision making and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage complex projects, ensuring alignment with budget and timing targets
  • Lead root cause analysis using tools such as Fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEA, Pareto Charts, Histograms, Six Sigma, and Red X
  • Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) concepts across projects
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership
  • Support and guide process engineering teams while fostering accountability and ownership
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive assembly or manufacturing engineering
  • Experience with CAN software
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Suite
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and travel as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Automotive Technology
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in automotive manufacturing
  • Experience with Kaizen / focused problem-solving methodologies
  • Experience with electrical systems and/or torque applications
  • Knowledge of vehicle CAN and CAN-FD networks and diagnostic tools
