Job Description:
Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This role supports both our San Antonio and China facilities, maintaining and improving engine test laboratory capabilities while supporting calibration and testing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to maintain, operate, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and emission test equipment
- Collect and analyze data to support component and engine calibration development and testing
- Continuously improve the capabilities and efficiency of the engine test laboratory
- Install instrumentation sensors on UUTs and wire electrical circuits to data acquisition systems; support cylinder pressure measurement equipment as needed
- Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills through meetings, emails, presentations, and direct dialogue
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (higher degree preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
- Experience in dynamometer test facility operation
- Strong understanding of emission certification procedures and equipment, including Federal 1065 testing requirements
- Basic understanding of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Basic understanding of Excel VBA programming
- Experience with LabView programming is a plus
