About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our client’s team in Lapeer, MI. In this role, you will ensure production readiness, support machine and job setups, monitor processes, and assist with tooling, quality, and operator training. This is a hands-on position with direct impact on production quality and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Start up all scheduled machines and ensure production readiness each shift.
  • Set up jobs and verify accuracy of Job Instruction Books, Set-up Sheets, and date wheels.
  • Obtain and document first-shot approvals from Quality Inspectors after key events (mold changes, shutdowns, repairs, etc.).
  • Monitor production processes, verify part quality, and record process adjustments.
  • Assist with mold changes, including clean-up and preparation for the next job.
  • Support operator training on machine operations, job books, tools, and safety practices.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and incoming shifts regarding process concerns.
  • Support tooling and machine maintenance by identifying issues and submitting work orders.
  • Participate in new tool tryouts, documenting settings and providing recommendations.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in molding and production areas.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Process Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to quality and safety.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and support operators on the floor.
