Assistant Corporate Controller

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Corporate Controller to join our team and lead critical areas of accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance. As an Assistant Corporate Controller, you will play a key leadership role overseeing cost accounting, collections, and cash application, while ensuring financial accuracy and supporting strategic initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor teams in cost accounting, credit & collections, and cash application
  • Oversee the month-end close process for plant operations and accounts receivable
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial data to support informed decision-making by senior leadership
  • Assist with annual external audits and address audit findings efficiently
  • Support annual budgeting processes for plant operations
  • Assist with business insurance renewals and administrative oversight
  • Identify and implement process improvements and standardization efforts to reduce financial risk
  • Maintain strong understanding of general ledger structure across multiple systems
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
  • Create ad-hoc reports and support special projects as requested by senior leadership
  • Stay current on GAAP principles and apply them consistently


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA certification required
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in accounting, with a focus in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 5 years in a management role, leading accounting or finance professionals preferred
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and change management abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
