Position Overview
Our client, a leader in the design, manufacturing, installation, and support of automotive automation and material handling systems, is seeking Technical Service Engineers (Level I–IV) to join their team.
In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain complex automation systems while supporting customer needs and ensuring equipment performance across various job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
- Diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and perform repairs
- Observe equipment in operation and execute testing procedures
- Perform preventative maintenance per site-specific procedures
- Interpret engineering drawings and support installation teams
- Assist with commissioning, debugging, and system optimization
- Interface with project teams and customers to resolve on-site issues
- Track parts usage and maintain inventory accuracy
- Support small project quoting, estimating, and subcontractor coordination
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and execution activities
- Travel to job sites across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours (nights, weekends, overtime as needed)
- Physically able to climb, lift (25–50 lbs), and work in industrial environments
Preferred Qualifications
- PLC troubleshooting and debugging experience
- Machinery installation and commissioning experience
- Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or other 3D modeling software (2+ years)
- Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, and budgets
- Strong customer-facing and problem-solving skills
Education & Experience
- AAS or BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation Engineering, or equivalent
- 0–10+ years of experience in material handling, robotics, AGVs, or conveyor systems
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or construction environments preferred
