Position Overview
Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a Lead Warehouse Associate to support day-to-day warehouse operations under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. This role ensures policies, procedures, and work instructions are followed while directing warehouse staff in the preparation, movement, and consolidation of customer freight. The Lead will help ensure efficient operations that meet customer delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and adhere to all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Policies and Quality Systems (IATF 16949).
- Coordinate shipping priorities to meet supplier guidelines, window times, routing instructions, and repack requirements.
- Direct loading, unloading, staging, and storage of materials.
- Oversee verification of staged materials and resolve discrepancies to ensure shipment compliance.
- Enforce dock policies and address safety and personnel issues with employees and management.
- Conduct cycle counts, bin reports, and ensure accurate inventory following FIFO practices.
- Maintain records of temporary trailer stock and slow-moving/damaged inventory.
- Assign outbound deliveries to material handlers and forklift operators according to customer shipment guidelines.
- Ensure all finished goods are shipped with correct pack, quantity, and destination, and maintain shipping documentation per IATF standards.
- Review inbound materials for quality, packaging, and accurate quantities; report discrepancies.
- Ensure overpacks are routed correctly to designated bins and manufacturing sites.
- Work with Dispatch and Dock Coordinators to optimize driver flow and route compliance.
- Apply Cargo Wiz and Cube-Out Avoidance loading best practices.
- Track returnable containers and support accurate BOL receipts and container turns using Surgere software.
- Communicate material flow or space constraints to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Ensure expendable packaging, PPE, propane, pallets, and supplies remain adequately stocked.
- Report any facility or equipment damage immediately.
- Maintain 6S standards to ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Support and document customer corrective actions (8D, SPPS, 4 Blockers, 4L5W, etc.).
- Provide performance feedback to the Warehouse Supervisor and assist with scheduling.
- Promote teamwork, continuous improvement, and company objectives.
- Report safety incidents immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
- High school diploma or 3+ years of warehouse experience required.
- SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and IATF 16949 guidelines.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

- Must understand priorities to support timely customer and supplier shipments.
- Ability to identify when issues need escalation.

- Direct Reports: Material Handlers, Forklift Operators, Dock Coordinators
Working Conditions
- Work performed in both office and warehouse environments.
- PPE is required on the shipping/receiving floor.
