A modern and fast-growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced and strategic Tax Manager to lead tax engagements, oversee a team of professionals, and provide high-level advisory services to clients. Key Responsibilities


·      Lead, manage, and review tax engagements for individuals, businesses, and trusts

·      Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, offering year-round tax planning and strategic advice

·      Supervise and mentor staff and senior tax accountants; review complex tax returns and provide guidance

·      Research complex tax issues and develop solutions that align with client goals

·      Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

·      Manage timelines, budgets, and workload for assigned client engagements

·      Contribute to business development efforts through client relationship building and referrals

·      Help drive internal process improvements and promote adoption of modern tax technologies


Qualifications


·      CPA license required

·      7+ years of recent public accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role

·      Strong technical knowledge of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax matters

·      Proficiency in modern tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, ProConnect, CCH Axcess)

·      Comfortable using cloud-based platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero)

·      Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills

·      Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment is a plus
