A full-time Associate Attorney position is available in the field of civil litigation, with a focus on Automobile and Premises Liability matters. Position Summary
The role offers a dynamic mix of independent case handling and collaborative teamwork. You will:
- Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Develop case strategies through collaboration with clients, experts, and colleagues.
- Maintain regular written and verbal communication with clients regarding case status.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda to support litigation positions.
- Work closely with senior attorneys to ensure effective case management.
Key Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active admission to the New York State Bar.
- 2–10 years of experience in Automobile and Premises Liability litigation (defense experience preferred).
- Strong advocacy skills with proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
- Ability to respond to discovery requests and manage all aspects of discovery.
- Experience taking and defending depositions (fact and expert witnesses).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage cases independently while collaborating effectively.
